Letter from Steve Ward/ Barbs Trees

Dear valued customers and suppliers of Bush Nuts Nursery

My name is Steven Ward and I am delighted to introduce myself to you. I have been managing revegetation nurseries for the past 17 years. I first started with Gecko Regen and went on to manage their nursery for nine years. I then took over an existing business called Barbs Trees, which I have now owned for eight years and during this time, I have steadily built up strong links within the regeneration community. I am committed to producing the highest quality plant stock from locally sourced seed, in addition to procuring species from a variety of growers throughout South East Queensland, in order to offer as much diversity as is possible.

During the past eight years I have had the pleasure of purchasing plants from Bushnuts and I have always admired their ability to supply a diverse range of high quality stock. It is with great excitement and enthusiasm, along with a strong commitment to service, that I will take over the nursery business (under the Barbs Trees umbrella) as of 16th of January. I hope you will feel comfortable with the approaching transition, as Liz will continue in her role. The phone number will remain the same and orders will continue to come out of the current nursery at Tallebudgera until March.

We will gradually be moving the nursery in the New Year to our existing site at Mt Nathan. I hope to continue to maintain links with all of Charlie and Cathy’s current network of clients, so I am looking forward to meeting all of you in person very soon.

I aim to continue to offer the same excellent service that Bushnuts nursery has provided in the past in addition to extending our services as necessary, to meet the needs of the evolving regeneration industry.

Charlie and Cathy will continue to operate the restorations business under the banner of Bushnuts (Bush Nuts Native Nursery).

Yours sincerely
Steven Ward
